Come July 19 will be Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated trilogy-finale saga of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. But after that, what's next for this critically-acclaimed filmmaker? At some point, he was once up in Warner Bros' wishlist to direct their reboot of THE TWILIGHT ZONE before Matt Reeves got the gig instead. Other project he's planning to do was a Howard Hawks biopic, which is set to star Jim Carrey as the reclusive billionaire but he is forced to put the project on hold when Martin Scorcese got there first with THE AVIATOR. With the Howard Hughes project off from his radar, Nolan ends up saying this instead: "Luckily I managed to find another wealthy, quirky character who's orphaned at a young age." That statement indicates he is (still) interested to make a James Bond movie one day, as he once claimed before. But he also stated that "It would have to be the right situation and the right time in their cycle of things."
Hmm, it would be very interesting to see how Christopher Nolan shaped up his own version of a James Bond movie. After all, he's a long-time Bond fan himself.
