Like it or not, "found footage" genre movie remains a mainstay in Hollywood... at least for now. But somehow this is kind of interesting. New Line Cinema has picked up a spec deal in the $300,000 range for a disaster drama called CATEGORY SIX.
Told entirely in first-person POV, CATEGORY SIX is written by John Swetnam which detailed around the worst tornado in US history, as survived by a group of high school students. Most of the action seen in this "found footage" movie will be captured via cell phones, smart books, and other recording devices.
No starting date is set at this time.
