After month of speculations, Patty Jenkins is finally confirmed to direct the highly-anticipated superhero sequel, THOR 2 for Marvel Pictures. She will be replacing original director Kenneth Branagh who helmed the first movie. Jenkins is certainly a left-field and rather risky choice to helm such blockbuster movie, since she had only previously directed a feature which was MONSTER (2003). It will be very interesting to see how she'll take THOR 2 to the next level.
THOR 2 is expected to hit theaters on November 15, 2013.
