Peter and Bobby Farrelly's hit comedy DUMB & DUMBER (1994) was no doubt one of their best directorial efforts. Apart from that, it was also one of the funniest movies Jim Carrey had ever done before his career subsequently slumped for big time. With the Farrelly brothers' long-gestating dream project, THE THREE STOOGES, already on production for spring 2012 release, they are now targeting their other long-gestating project, which is none others than DUMB & DUMBER 2.
Now here's the good news: The brothers have planned to reunite original stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in their titular characters, and even already hired SEX DRIVE screenwriters Sean Anders and John Morris to come up a screenplay. Peter and Bobby Farrelly are hoping to direct the movie themselves.
Start date is yet to be determined, although it is highly likely DUMB & DUMBER 2 would be Peter and Bobby Farrelly's next directorial efforts.
